My story
I’m Sébastien Graux, a Belgian artist, guitarist and producer. I’ve written and recorded guitar for Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee and Booba. I also make my own songs in French.
My father’s guitar
At 9, I heard a friend play Sultans of Swing and wanted to learn. I grew up on a farm in Flohimont, in the Belgian Ardennes. My father’s guitar was already at home. I learned by ear, then began layering my own melodies with a loop pedal.
The first gold record
In 2021, my guitar opened La Vie du Binks. I was still making music in my home studio, but the recordings I shared online were becoming released songs. That year, I received my first gold record in France.
Sessions in Miami
In Miami, I brought my guitar into sessions with other producers. The setting had changed since my home studio: now we were in the room together, composing and recording parts for songs.
Working with DJs
I also began working with DJs. I played, composed and recorded guitar parts alongside their productions. The guitar recordings I had started sharing from home were becoming part of collaborations across different musical worlds.
